Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Material Handler in Chatsworth, CA. The role supports production lines, moves FG pallets, and ensures accurate labeling and recording of pallet transactions. The position requires basic warehouse tech and safety adherence, with first and mid shifts Tuesday through Saturday.

Pay is $18.97–$19.25 per hour, with competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. Previous warehouse experience and familiarity with QAD are advantageous for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse or material handling training is beneficial.
• 1 year of experience servicing production lines required.
• Be detail oriented and thorough.
• Good judgment and decision-making ability.
• Strong mathematics skills (add/sub/mul/perc).
• Basic PC knowledge (MS Office) and warehouse management systems preferred.
• Basic knowledge of QAD and scanner operations.
• Complies with safety, cGMPs and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Review Daily Production Schedule.
• Verify FG pallets are ready to be stretch wrapped.
• Verify FG pallet label before removing from lines.
• Verify unit cases are taped, labeled, and stacked properly.
• Move FG pallets to stretch wrap area and record transactions in the system.
• Record all FG pallet transactions in QAD.

Location: Chatsworth, CA

Pay Rate: $18.97 - $19.25 per hour

Schedule: 1st shift and Mid Shift / Tuesday- Saturday

Job Duties

• Review Daily Production Schedule
• Constantly walk through assigned area to verify if FG pallets are ready to be stretch wrapped
• Verify FG pallet label prior to removing FG pallet from the lines
• Verify unit cases on pallets are properly taped, labeled, and stacked before removing from the line.
• Take FG pallets from filling lines to stretch wrap area, stretch wrap, move to staging area and record transaction in the system
• Record all FG pallet transactions using automated system, QAD.
• Review transactions daily and ensure nothing is left in location 600 and 601
• Monitor production lines during filling for complete FG pallets- prevent line downtime by reason of stockpiling FG pallets.
• Maintain production and stretch wrap areas clean and presentable
• Must work in accordance and compliance with Safety and GMP policies.
• Adhere to the company dress policy - includes wearing the proper assigned uniform on a daily basis.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Line Stocker and Reconciliation Lead and Trainer

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse or material handling training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Operate a pallet jack - manual and electric
• 1 year of experience in servicing production lines.
• Be detail oriented and thorough.
• Good judgment and decision-making ability.
• Strong skills in mathematics; adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and percentages
• Basic PC Knowledge.MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and warehouse management system are preferred.
• Basic knowledge of QAD and scanner operations
• Complies with all company safety rules, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution experience is preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems is beneficial.
• Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse documentation, or Lean warehouse practices is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work habits are well positioned for success as a Material Handler.

Physical Capabilities

• No allergies or sensitivities to chemicals that preclude the handling of materials or personal protective equipment.
• Able to handle full FG pallets
• Capable of standing or walking for extended periods.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
