Job summary

OSI Systems, Inc. is seeking a Temporary Material Handler based in Billerica, MA to support manufacturing by delivering materials, organizing inventory, and assisting with kitting and packing.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least two years in a manufacturing warehouse, ability to lift 50 pounds, and a valid driver’s license. Knowledge of Dynamics365 ERP and forklift operations is preferred; a DOT physical is a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Min 2 years of material handling in a manufacturing warehouse.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Forklift/pallet jack experience preferred; OSHA cert preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics365) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver material to storage and production locations to support schedules.
• Set up and organize inventory and storage locations.
• Support kitting and material breakdown activities.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping standards are followed.
• Assist in transfers between local warehouses and look up inventory locations.
• Perform cycle counts of inventory locations across the factory.
• Pick/kits for assemblers and process picklists in ERP (Dynamics365).
• Collaborate with logistics to package and crate finished products for shipment.
• Load/unload trailers and operate forklift where required.
• Drive/operate box truck for inter-warehouse trips as needed.

Overview

Rapiscan, on OSI Systems Company, is seeking a Temporary Material Handler, based out of Billerica, MA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver material to appropriate storage and point-of-use locations to support manufacturing schedules.
• Set-up and organize inventory and storage locations within the facility.
• Support kitting and material breakdown activities.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping expectations are followed.
• Assist in the transfer and retrieval of materials from local warehouse to local warehouse.
• Perform cycle counting of inventory locations across the factory.
• Pick/Kit materials to be used by assemblers on the production floor. Process picklists in ERP system Dynamics365.
• Look up location of inventory and perform transfers upon request of production.
• Work with Logistics Specialist to assist with packaging and crating of finished products for shipment.
• Picking materials to be released to the shipping dock to support service orders around the world.
• Collaborate with materials planners and service planners to resolve inventory discrepancies, process work order picklists, and verify cycle count discrepancies.
• Load and unload tractor trailers and flatbeds using both overhead crane and forklift equipment.
• Assist kitting department in the picking of materials to be shipped along with completed production equipment.
• Drive and operate box truck, transit between warehouses, as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• Min 2 years of experience handling materials in a manufacturing warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Pallet jack, ride on pallet jack, or forklift experience/certification preferred (OSHA certification preferred).
• Warehousing / Inventory Control System experiencepreferred.
• Prior exposure to Lean manufacturing initiatives preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Will be required to follow safety guidelines and good manufacturing practices.
• Must have a valid drivers license.

This position requires the successful completion and maintenance of a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination as a condition of employment.

Pay may range $22.00 to $25.00 hourly
