Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Material Handler for a premier distribution center in Albuquerque, NM. The role offers a Monday through Friday shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm with the potential for overtime and a temp-to-hire path to a long-term career.

You will load, unload, and move materials, fill orders with RF devices, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and pack and ship orders while maintaining strict inventory controls and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Capable of lifting, pushing, and carrying up to 75 lbs.
• Able to stand and move throughout a warehouse environment.
• Comfortable using RF devices to fill orders.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to work full-time (40 hours/week).
• Able to read labels, tickets, and product documentation.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials within or near the work site.
• Fill orders and issue materials per requests using RF devices.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, hand trucks, or dollies.
• Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Champion effective inventory management practices.
• Adhere to and promote safety and security policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate reliability while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Report to the warehouse supervisor or manager.

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $18.00 per hour

Shift: Mon-Fri, 6:00am - 2:30pm

What’s a typical day as Material Handler? You’ll be:

• Working independently to load, unload, and move materials within or near the work site.

• Filling orders and issuing materials and supplies per requests using RF devices.

• Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts (sit down/stand up), pallet jacks, order pickers, hand trucks, or dollies.

• Packing and shipping customer orders accurately and efficiently.

• Championing effective inventory management practices.

• Adhering to and promoting safety and security policies and procedures.

• Demonstrating exceptional reliability while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

• Reporting to the warehouse supervisor or manager.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Are at least 18 years old and able to work full-time (40 hours/week).

• Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized, and positive warehouse environment.

• Can comprehend oral and written communication to effectively read labels, tickets, and product documentation.

• Have the ability to frequently lift, push, carry, and slide packages up to 75 lbs.

• Are able to stand and move throughout the warehouse in various temperatures.

• Have attention to detail and good time management skills.

• Can accurately use basic math skills.

• Are comfortable wearing steel-toe shoes as required PPE.
