Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a Material Controller to oversee inventory and material flow at our Tulsa/Broken Arrow facility, coordinating shipping/receiving, stock replenishment, and production support. You will ensure accurate documentation and actively participate in safety briefings and cross-training opportunities.

The role requires hands-on material handling experience, forklift operation, and commitment to high safety standards in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, required with relevant experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Materials.
• Basic desk top computer skills.
• Basic math skills including the ability to read a tape measure and micrometer.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift operation certification preferred.
• Overhead crane experience preferred.
• Scissor Lift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing inventory and material flow, including shipping/receiving, delivering materials to production teams, processing paperwork, loading/unloading freight, ensuring quality standards, performing cycle counts, updating system transactions, and stocking production areas.
• Actively participates in daily pre-shift briefings and weekly safety meetings to promote a culture of safety and awareness.
• Cross trains in multiple areas to provide flexible support and enhance operational efficiency.
• Assists Team Lead and Team Manager with administrative and operational tasks, including coordination and reporting.
• Performs daily duties as a material controller, ensuring accurate tracking, handling, and distribution of materials.
• Safely operates forklifts and trailers to transport materials, equipment, or products as required.
