American Equipment Holdings seeks a skilled Material Handler to oversee movement, storage, and organization of materials for overhead crane production. The role emphasizes safe operation of forklifts, cranes, and hoists, accurate inventory, and timely support to production teams.

You will receive comprehensive training, work on-site in a dynamic manufacturing environment, and contribute to efficiency improvements while following safety protocols and quality guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications in material handling or logistics are a plus.
• Proven experience in material handling, logistics, or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, cranes, hoists, and other material handling equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the facility.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, shipping containers, and storage areas.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and components against purchase orders and specifications.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Organize and label materials in designated storage areas for easy retrieval.
• Collaborate with production teams to provide them with the necessary materials and components in a timely manner.
• Monitor material usage patterns to anticipate production needs and prevent shortages.
• Inspect materials and components for damage, defects, or discrepancies before they are used in production.
• Collaborate with the Quality Control team to report and address any issues related to material quality.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating material handling equipment and performing tasks.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
• Maintain accurate records of material movements, transactions, and inventory levels.
• Generate reports on material consumption, stock levels, and other relevant metrics.
• Identify opportunities to streamline material handling processes and improve overall efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements.
