Job summary

PAC Group is seeking a Material Handling Engineer with hands-on experience in high-volume automotive manufacturing. The role focuses on material flow, lean manufacturing, and cross-functional project leadership to drive efficiency and cost reductions.

The ideal candidate will manage complex initiatives from design through implementation, optimize lineside replenishment, and coordinate with procurement and shop-floor teams to enhance space utilization and material movement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in material flow, logistics, or industrial engineering, preferably in automotive or high-volume manufacturing.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, simulation tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to succeed in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across functions to manage and implement complex material handling projects.
• Lead and optimize material flow from warehouse to point of use.
• Develop and implement lineside replenishment systems (e.g., Kanban) with IT support.
• Maintain layouts to improve space utilization and efficiency on the floor.
• Manage material handling equipment from procurement through deployment (forklifts, AGVs/AGCs, tuggers).
• Support lean improvements and continuous flow initiatives.
