Job summary

PAC Group seeks a Material Handling Engineer for onsite work in our automotive manufacturing projects. The role emphasizes hands-on experience with high-volume material flow, Lean principles, and cross-functional collaboration to implement complex material handling systems.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field, 3+ years in material flow or logistics, and proficiency with AutoCAD, ERP systems, WMS, and Excel to analyze and optimize

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in high-volume automotive manufacturing, strong expertise in material flow and material handling systems, and a solid understanding of Lean manufacturing principles. This role requires effective cross-functional collaboration and the ability to manage complex projects through implementation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, ora relatedfield; master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in material flow,logistics, or industrial engineering, preferably in automotive or high-volume manufacturing.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, simulation tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to succeed in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with PFEP data,assembly and body shopmanufacturing processes, industrial engineering job balancing, internallogisticsdelivery routes, warehouse management,and ERP systems.
  • Experience with fork-free material delivery strategies, including kitting,sequencing cells,and lean lineside presentation.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and material tracking technologies.
  • Working knowledge of CAD systems, layout drawings, and flow-layout optimization to improve material movement, spaceutilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of material flow from the warehouse to point of use using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Review, develop,and implement lineside replenishment systems, such aseKanban,with IT to automate material calls and improve delivery efficiency.
  • Maintain material handlinglayouts thatoptimizewarehouse and production floor space.
  • Leadtheimplementation of pull systems with balancedinventorylevels at each point of use.
  • Manage material handling equipment from procurement through operational deployment, including forklifts, tuggers, AGVs/AGCs, carts, racks, and low-cost automation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability tolift upto 35 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, education, and qualifications.

$70 - $70 USD
