Job summary

The PAC Group is seeking a Material Handling Engineer for an onsite role in Bloomington. You will optimize material flow from warehouse to point of use, lead lineside replenishment, and manage layouts in a lean manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in engineering, 3+ years in automotive/high-volume manufacturing, and are proficient with AutoCAD, ERP systems, and Excel. Strong analytical, PM, and communication skills are required to succeed in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field (master's preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in material flow, logistics, or industrial engineering, preferably in automotive/high-volume manufacturing.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, simulation tools, ERP systems, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to succeed in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and optimization of material flow from warehouse to point of use using lean principles.
  • Review, develop, and implement lineside replenishment systems (eKanban) with IT to automate material calls.
  • Maintain material handling layouts to optimize space.
  • Lead the implementation of pull systems with balanced inventory at each point of use.
  • Manage material handling equipment from procurement through deployment (forklifts, tuggers, AGVs/AGCs, carts, racks, low-cost automation).
