Job summary

The PAC Group, a global engineering consultancy, seeks a Material Handling Engineer to optimize material flow from warehouse to production in automotive environments. You will implement lean principles, develop lineside replenishment with IT, and manage layouts to maximize space and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in high-volume manufacturing, strong skills in AutoCAD, ERP, and Excel, and proven abilities in cross-functional project leadership and problem solving.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; master's preferred.
  • 3+ years in material flow, logistics, or industrial engineering in auto/high-volume manufacturing.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, simulation tools, ERP, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and optimization of material flow from the warehouse to point of use using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Review, develop, and implement lineside replenishment systems (eKanban) with IT to automate material calls.
  • Maintain material handling layouts that optimize warehouse and production floor space.
  • Lead the implementation of pull systems with balanced inventory levels at each point of use.
  • Manage material handling equipment from procurement through deployment, including forklifts, tuggers, AGVs/AGCs, carts, racks, and low-cost automation.
