Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to support production in Wayland Township, MI. You will print and distribute pick tickets, perform computer transactions, and organize material pull sequences to keep schedules on track.

Good organizational skills, basic math, and the ability to work independently or in a team are essential. Safety PPE must be worn, and duties include lifting up to 50 lbs and operating material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prints and distributes pick tickets and performs computer transactions.
• Organizes sequence of pulling material and relays information to Material Support.
• Ensures production schedules are met by timely and accurate processing and movement of goods.
• Assists during daily peak times to include operating material handling equipment and perform all necessary computer transactions.
• Monitors and enforces shop floor control systems.
• Follows all safety procedures, wears proper PPE and identifies unsafe conditions.
• Studies systems and procedures for improvements and proposes changes to Materials Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
