Job summary

Merit Manufacturing in Warren, MI is seeking a Production Material Handler to ensure uninterrupted material flow between warehouse and production. You will stage raw materials, transport finished goods, verify lot numbers and labels, and reconcile inventory using Excel and our systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in warehouse or manufacturing logistics required.
• Experience delivering materials to production in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience operating reach truck and sit-down forklift required.
• Strong attention to detail with inventory transactions.

Responsibilities

• Stage and deliver raw materials from the warehouse to production lines according to schedule.
• Remove finished goods from production and transport to warehouse.
• Verify quantities, lot numbers, and labels before transporting.
• Reconcile finished goods with production paperwork to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Receive pallets into inventory using the inventory management system.
• Operate reach truck, hi-lo, and pallet jack safely.
• Maintain FIFO inventory during staging and transport.
• Report inventory discrepancies and shortages promptly.
• Complete inventory transactions and documentation using Excel and company systems.
• Follow GMP, safety, and powered industrial truck requirements.
• Review production schedules and pull materials for orders.
• Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization.
• End-of-shift reconciliation of movements.
