Job Overview

We are seeking a Material Expeditor to join our team. You will orchestrate the physical flow of parts and materials across facilities to meet strict production schedules, ensuring seamless operations through proactive logistical support. Additionally, you will serve as a central communication node by maintaining accurate digital inventory records, verifying material specifications, and coordinating directly with department supervisors and material handling personnel.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Logistics & Material Movement: Locates, stages, and physically transports materials between designated storage and production areas utilizing carts or hand trucks. Directs Material Handling Laborers and Power-Truck Operators to expedite complex or heavy transfers.


• Production Planning & Analysis: Systematically reviews production schedules, work orders, and complex inventory reports to determine exact material requirements, quantities, and strict customer order priorities.


• Inventory Control & Administration: Utilizes computer terminals to update and maintain precise inventory records, tracking the exact quantity and type of materials distributed versus on hand. Prepares accurate worker production records and timecards.


• Cross-Functional Coordination: Communicates proactively with department supervisors to identify overdue materials and provides critical updates regarding the location, condition, and availability of required parts.


• Quality & Specification Verification: Actively compares specific work ticket requirements against the actual materials deployed at various workstations to verify the appropriateness of the materials in use.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of three (3) years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.


• Any related certifications.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen.


• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.


• A current Secret clearance is highly desired.
