Job summary

Qualifications

• Two+ years warehousing experience with a WMS in the last five years.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
• Certifications related to warehousing are a plus.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Warehouse Specialist Team Lead to join our team. You will lead a warehouse team in daily planning and problem-solving while actively performing core storage, receiving, and outbound shipping duties. Additionally, you will operate material handling equipment and utilize Government Warehouse Management Systems to ensure accurate inventory control and strict adherence to standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Team Leadership & Operations Management: Oversees day-to-day planning, implementation, and problem-solving for the warehouse team. Manages the overall activities and assignments of team members to ensure operational efficiency.
• Receiving & Shipping Operations: Verifies incoming materials against receiving documents, documenting and reporting any discrepancies or obvious damages. Removes materials from storage and prepares them for accurate outbound shipment.
• Inventory Control & Storage Maintenance: Routes materials to prescribed locations and handles storing, stacking, and palletizing in accordance with (IAW) prescribed methods. Rearranges stock, conducts inventory audits, and continuously examines stored materials to identify and report deterioration or damage.
• Material Handling & Equipment Operation: Operates manual or powered material handling equipment, such as hand or power trucks, to safely and effectively execute various physical warehousing logistics.
• Systems Administration & Data Management: Utilizes Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other Government Data Systems to process computer output instructions. Investigates and resolves common system error conditions in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of two (2) years of related experience in warehousing using DLAs WMS or an equivalent automated WMS within the past five (5) years

Preferred Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
• Any related certifications

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
• A current Secret clearance is highly desired.
