Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc is seeking a Material Controller to manage the handling, weighing and shipping of precious metal materials at our West Whiteland, PA site. You will maintain precise inventory records and support on-time, in-full deliveries by coordinating with scheduling and logistics teams.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, with opportunities to participate in continuous improvement and cross-training across Supply Chain functions.

Qualifications

• Experience in material handling, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing environments.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and compliance in day-to-day operations.
• Ability to weigh, record and physically move materials, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle, process, weigh and ship precious metal materials in line with EH&S and Life Saving Policies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and transact material movements within JM systems.
• Support OTIF delivery of customer orders through coordination with scheduling and logistics teams.
• Ensure materials are packed, stored and transported in compliance with security, regulatory and quality standards.
• Carry out routine equipment checks and support basic maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and cross-train across Supply Chain functions.

The role:
