Job summary

Kable Workforce Solutions is seeking a Material Control Specialist in Mason, OH to coordinate material and option content for machine shipment and installation schedules. Responsibilities

  • Review machine order write-ups to understand customer requirements and identify discrepancies.
  • Communicate discrepancies or concerns to the Installation Project Support Coordinator.
  • Monitor critical delivery items required to meet machine installation schedules.
  • Develop delivery plans for all option content with the Installation Project Support Coordinator.
  • Review customer delivery schedules and adjust machine delivery dates in SAP and shipment tracking.
  • Monitor material requirement dates to ensure option content is available for timelines.
  • Release and expedite production orders to meet delivery dates.
  • Identify shortages or constraints that could impact delivery dates.
  • Track materials and machine components throughout the order and delivery process.

Job Brief

Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Material Control Specialist for our client. This role is responsible for coordinating and monitoring material and option content required to support machine shipment and installation schedules at customer locations.

What’s a Typical Day Like?
  • Review machine order write-ups to understand customer requirements and identify any discrepancies.
  • Communicate discrepancies or concerns to the Installation Project Support Coordinator.
  • Monitor critical delivery items required to meet machine installation schedules.
  • Work closely with the Installation Project Support Coordinator to develop delivery plans for all option content.
  • Review customer delivery schedules and make necessary adjustments to machine delivery dates in SAP and shipment tracking schedules.
  • Monitor material requirement dates to ensure all option content is available to meet installation timelines.
  • Release and expedite production orders when necessary to meet required delivery dates.
  • Identify material shortages, scheduling conflicts, or other constraints that could impact requested delivery dates.
  • Track materials and machine components throughout the order and delivery process.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve material availability and scheduling issues.
  • Maintain accurate material, scheduling, and delivery information within SAP.
  • Communicate project and material status updates to appropriate team members.
  • Support multiple machine orders and installation schedules while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
  • Previous experience in material control, material planning, production planning, scheduling, project coordination, supply chain, or a related position.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Experience with SAP Project Builder is a plus.
  • Machine tool or industrial equipment experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience coordinating materials against production, shipment, or installation schedules.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify potential delays and proactively work toward solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and manage changing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
