Materials Specialist I

The Materials Specialist I is responsible for supporting both internal and external customers by ensuring timely and accurate material planning, receiving, stocking, delivery, and shipment. This role also involves operating material handling equipment and assisting with inventory control, data accuracy, and process improvements to support material flow throughout the facility.

Responsibility / Impact

• Maintain accurate inventory through timely and precise data entry.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and system issues.
• Identify and correct receiving problems.
• Monitor and maintain inventory stock levels.
• Support engineering changes through allocation and inventory adjustments (CN maintenance).
• Collaborate daily with internal and external customers to deliver exceptional service.
• Assist with corporate material initiatives such as cycle counts, ISL management, bin consumption tracking, and more.

Minimum Qualifications

• Computer literate with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site.

Working Conditions

• This position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations.
• The role may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, up to 30 pounds sustained, bending, kneeling, climbing, or using tools and equipment.
• Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.
• Visual and auditory acuity are needed for safe equipment operation and effective communication in a busy workspace.
