Job summary

Thyssenkrupp Presta AG in Park City, KS seeks an Inventory Clerk to accurately provide inventory information for company controlled material stock. This role works on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery and supports production requirements.

You will perform data entry in the inventory management system, tag materials, coordinate movements, and assist with quality, safety, and Lean initiatives. A high school diploma and forklift certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write English and perform basic math.
• Basic computer skills for data entry into inventory systems.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and operate material handling equipment.
• Certification to operate material handling equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete material receiving activities and coordinate movements to support production.
• Enter data into inventory systems accurately and timely.
• Maintain inventory tags and conduct material consolidations.
• Identify shortages and communicate with staff; assist QA on credits.
• Support health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives on the warehouse floor.

Job Summary

To accurately provide inventory information for company controlled material stock. Monitor, organize and maintain inventory of company product at multiple branch locations.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from the mill
• Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements
• Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material
• Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements
• Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags
• Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket
• Identify material shortages and issues, and communicate to appropriate staff
• Perform verification of scrap
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work
• Assist quality assurance team in activities related to credits
• Perform equipment preventative maintenance and clean up
• Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery
• Meet all other TKMNA employee attributes and competencies

• Certification to operate material handling equipment, examples include forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry-picker

Preferred requirements:

• Some college course work, leading toward completion of degree
• 3 years of material control or inventory experience
• Previous experience safely operating a variety of material handling equipment (forklift, side-loader, etc.)
