Job summary

The role requires planning, SAP/MRP experience, and strong analytical skills. Long-term W-2 contract with pay range $29.43–$41.82 per hour; after onboarding, one remote day per week is allowed on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 4 years of equivalent experience in Material Planning/MRP
• Experience in SAP, MS Office and data analysis for planning
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
• Experience coordinating with suppliers, logistics providers and internal teams

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Material Control Specialist I is responsible for planning and managing material availability to support production requirements while optimizing inventory levels. This role works closely with suppliers, transportation providers, and cross-functional teams to ensure materials arrive on time, inventory remains accurate, and production schedules are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor material requirements to ensure production schedules are fully supported.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess inventory and shortages.
• Perform material planning activities and maintain planning parameters within SAP.
• Support production activities, engineering changes, new part introductions, and product phase-out activities while minimizing obsolete inventory.
• Analyze inventory and material planning data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain supplier rating information.
• Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, logistics providers, and internal departments to resolve material shortages and delivery issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
• Prepare reports, analyze data, and communicate planning information using Microsoft Office applications.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field preferred
• OR
• Four (4) years of equivalent professional experience in Material Planning, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

Experience

• 1-3 years of Supply Chain Management experience
• 1-3 years of Material Control or Production Control experience
• Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience is preferred
