Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA in Park City, KS, is seeking a warehouse material handler to join our on-site team. You will apply material to customer orders, verify specs, operate cranes, forklifts and related equipment, and maintain a clean, safe work area following work instructions.

Responsibilities include inspecting products, recording measurements, assisting in lean and quality activities, and training others as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Perform basic math skills.
• Safety Mindset required.

Responsibilities

• Must be certified in the material handler position.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Pull, inspect and verify product before processing.
• Properly set up equipment to run material per specifications.
• Process setup notes according to work order specifications.
• Verify product meets setup specs and record measurements.
• Communicate with sales representatives regarding order changes/clarifications.
• Perform equipment preventive maintenance and general clean-up.
• Enter/delete material identification tags as written.
• Assist in packaging material per work instructions and work orders.
• Maintain issued measurement equipment in working condition.
• Operate weighing scale and record inspection measurements.
• Identify, record, and segregate scrap and non-conforming material.
• Provide feedback on machine efficiency and product quality.
• Complete duties without safety risk to self or others.
• Train others when required.
• Assist in lean and quality activities.
• This role works directly on the warehouse floor near heavy machinery.

Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to the work order specifications. Ensure that processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition. Maintain processing area in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Complete all required information entry accurately. Perform any other tasks as assigned.

• Must be certified in the material handler position.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.

• Properly enter/delete material identification tags per written instructions.
• Assist in the packaging of material per written work instructions and work order.
• Maintain issued measurement equipment in working condition.
• Properly operate weighing scale and record inspection measurements.
• Identify, record, and segregate scrap and any non-conforming material.
• Provide feedback to supervision regarding machine efficiency and product quality.
• Complete job responsibilities in a manner that does not put him/herself or other individuals in an unsafe situation.
• Train others when required.
• Assist in any activities related to lean and/or quality.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
