thyssenkrupp Materials, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Associate to accurately provide inventory information, coordinate material movements, and maintain stock across multiple locations. The role operates on the warehouse floor near heavy machinery and requires strict attention to detail.

Responsibilities include data entry into the inventory system, operating material handling equipment, and supporting quality assurance and lean initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to read, write English and perform basic math.
  • Proficiency with data entry into inventory systems and accurate record-keeping.
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience or ability to operate material handling equipment safely.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inventory information for company stock across branches.
  • Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to meet production needs.
  • Operate material handling equipment as needed.
  • Enter data accurately in the inventory management system.
  • Support quality assurance and lean initiatives.
  • Meet safety, health, and company requirements on the warehouse floor.

Job description

Job Summary

To accurately provide inventory information for company controlled material stock. Monitor, organize and maintain inventory of company product at multiple branch locations.

Job Description Key Accountabilities

Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from the mill Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket Identify material shortages and issues, and communicate to appropriate staff Perform verification of scrap Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work Assist quality assurance team in activities related to credits Perform equipment preventative maintenance and clean up Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery Meet all other TKMNA employee attributes and competencies

Shift Times

1st shift: 6am-2pm 2nd shift: 2pm-10pm 3rd shift: 10pm-6am

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems
  • Basic computer skills for data entry into inventory management system
  • Ability to use tape measure and calipers for material inspection/measurement
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in written work and data entry
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. with or without accommodation
  • Certification to operate material handling equipment, examples include forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry-picker
  • Preferred requirements: Some college course work, leading toward completion of degree
  • 3 years of material control or inventory experience
  • Previous experience safely operating a variety of material handling equipment (forklift, side-loader, etc.)
