Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. in Ohio seeks a Material Control Lead to manage receiving, picking, staging, auditing, and shipping of components and FG. You will support production flows and perform inventory cycle counts and reconciliations per SOPs/WIs.

You will coordinate with internal/external stakeholders, issue and adjust components in SAP, and oversee pallet gate conversions, while promoting lean practices and safe operations in a dynamic warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years minimum warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred forklift certification; stand up reach/sit down counterbalance.
• SAP experience is preferred.
• Proficient with ERP and Microsoft Office applications; strong Excel skills required.
• Must have strong prioritization, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to exercise sound, independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receiving, shipping, and material request functions with stakeholders to support production facilities and warehouses.
• Ensure accurate Gate conversion of pallets from WIP to Finished Goods.
• Issue, returns and adjustments of components to/from production using SAP transactions.
• Schedule inbound deliveries and outbound shipments with local/regional trucking; process in customer portals as applicable.
• Enter order information in SAP, apply labels, reconcile variances, and coordinate warehouse locations.
• Distribute pick lists to forklift operators based on production and shipping schedules.
• Operate PIT equipment safely and perform daily checklists.
• Maintain safety equipment and follow procedures; apply lean techniques.
• Perform inventory cycle counts and investigate inventory issues.
• Create/manage SAP support tickets for production-impacting system issues.

Job description

Summary:

The Material Control Lead is responsible for all functions related to the receiving, picking, staging, auditing and shipping of components and finished goods (FG). This position also supports production material flows related to issuing and returning from production, perform components and finished goods inventory cycle counts and reconciliations in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for coordinating, organizing, and communicating the receiving, shipping, and material request functions with both internal and external key stakeholders to support production facilities and warehouses.
• Responsible for ensuring the accurate Gate conversion of pallets from WIP to Finished Goods.
• Responsible for the accurate issuance, returns and adjustments of components to and from production using SAP transactions. (MB1A, MB1C, MIGO, LT01, LT06, LB13,NVL09,NVL02N,CORS).
• Coordinates and schedules inbound deliveries and outbound shipments with local and regional trucking companies; processes in customers inventory portal as applicable.
• Completes and retains all receiving and shipping documentation and records based on applicable SOPs and WI.
• Enters order information in SAP, applies a label to material received, investigates and works with inventory control to reconcile any variances, and coordinates warehouse locations for materials.
• Coordinates and facilitates the distribution of pick lists to forklift operators based on the production and shipping schedules.
• Operates powered industrial equipment (PIT) in accordance with established safety procedures, completes daily checklists and notifies leadership of any issues that need addressed.
• Secures and maintains all necessary safety equipment and follows established safety procedures.
• Performs inventory control cycle counts and assists in investigating inventory related issues.
• Able to anticipate/identify problems and use available resources to provide effective solutions. Create and manage SAP support tickets for production-impacting system issues.
• Able to act on decisions with the corresponding level of urgency.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Actively encourage and apply lean techniques and processes.
• Delivers quality and accuracy in own work.
• Performs special assignments as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds manually.
• Not a climate-controlled environment except for the office/desk space; the noise level is usually moderate.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer, stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, crouch, talk, hear, push, and pull.
• Exposure to frequent movement of motorized equipment throughout the facility.
• Able to work overtime & weekends as required.
