Job summary

Summary

The Material Handler supports safe, accurate, and efficient material flow between the warehouse and production operations during second shift. This role ensures raw materials, components, and finished goods are moved, replenished, tracked, and stored properly; maintains inventory accuracy in SAP; and partners with production and warehouse teams to prevent shortages and support continuous operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Transports raw materials, components and finished goods between the warehouse and production teams.
• Replenish raw materials on the production line to ensure continuous operations.
• Certification in stand-up and sit down forklifts, as well as all material moving equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts and track material locations to prevent shortages via SAP.
• Distribute the material flow, which includes the grouping of orders at each process step: Komax, Crimp & Assembly, Molding, and Bagging/Packing
• Identify and report damaged or defective materials and maintain high level of condition requirements.
• Keep storage areas clear and free of obstacles.
• Work with both shifts to ensure that all material is organized and cycled through for necessary use.
• Assist operators in performing their tasks safely and ensure adherence to all general production and departmental safety policies.
• Clear production and warehouse of finished recyclable material by preparing it for disposition.
• Make corrections to SAP entries when operators make mistakes with confirmations to ensure accurate production data.
• Provide the warehouse team with 2nd shift overlap for incoming freight deliveries by assisting in the unloading or loading of deliveries as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

• Be cross trained in multiple areas of production and understand the workflow process in multiple SAP processes.
• Have a proven track record of providing a high degree of quality and reaching production efficiency.
