Job summary

The Material Area Supervisor at ManpowerGroup in Warren, MI leads hourly teams responsible for unloading, storing and delivering material to support production in an automotive assembly plant. You will drive safety, value delivery, and morale while ensuring inventory accuracy and strong relations with management and union workers.

Open to all 3 shifts with overtime as needed; 1–3 years experience with material handling and automotive setting strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience preferred.
• Experience with material handling, raw materials, pallets, lifts, or large PIV equipment preferred.
• Automotive experience strongly preferred.

Job Title: Material Area Supervisor

Location: Warren, MI

Pay Range: $33.65 per hour

What’s the Job?

The Material Area Supervisor is responsible for leading hourly teams that unload, store, and deliver material to support production in an automotive manufacturing assembly plant.

What you will be doing:

• Lead the safety, delivery, cost, quality, and morale of hourly work teams.
• Develop team leaders to meet corporate guidelines and transform existing material delivery processes to increase productivity and reduce manufacturing costs utilizing the World Class Manufacturing process
• Ensure inventory and record integrity and maintain a positive working relationship with both management and union represented employee.
• Manage multiple work teams in a fast paced, high volume unionized manufacturing environment.
• Required to oversee and develop highly functioning work teams, comprised of Team Leaders and Team Members and practice Leadership Principles.

What’s Needed?

• 1-3 years experience preferred
• Experience with material handling, raw materials, pallets, lifts, or large PIV equipment preferred
• Automotive experience strongly preferred
• Must be open to all 3 shifts
• Overtime when needed is mandatory
