Job summary

Quinault Wellness Center in Aberdeen, WA is seeking a Dispensing Nurse (RN/LPN) to support its MAT program. You will prepare and dispense medications, monitor patients, and document care in the EHR. This role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and compassionate patient service in a fast-paced setting.

The RN or LPN must have a clean WA license, current BLS, and 3+ years of nursing experience, with a focus on substance use disorder treatment and medication safety.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of RN or LPN experience.
• Current Washington State RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Knowledge of primary care, mental health, substance use disorder treatment, and addiction medicine.
• Understanding of medication dispensing, safety, and accountability.
• Knowledge of Washington RCWs/WACs, HIPAA, PHI, and 42 CFR Part 2.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer Methadone, Buprenorphine/Naloxone, Buprenorphine, and other meds as ordered.
• Maintain medication security, inventory, and records per DEA and state/federal requirements.
• Document daily dispensing and dosing procedures accurately.
• Monitor patients on MAT and respond to changes with the treatment team.
• Provide nursing assessments and education on medications and recovery.
• Document encounters, medication administration, and incidents in the EHR.
• Maintain confidentiality and patient information per HIPAA and state regs.
• Collaborate with providers, counselors, and the treatment team.
• Coordinate medication dosing with local jail when needed.
