Job summary

Quinault Wellness Center is seeking a Dispensing Nurse (RN/LPN) to join its Substance Use Disorder treatment team. You will safely dispense MAT medications, perform nursing assessments, educate patients, and maintain strict medication accountability within HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 guidelines.

You will collaborate with medical providers, counselors, and the treatment team to ensure coordinated, respectful patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Current Washington State RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Knowledge of MAT, medication safety, and accountability.
• Knowledge of RCWs/WACs, HIPAA, PHI requirements, and 42 CFR Part 2.
• Ability to maintain high standards of professional ethics and patient confidentiality.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond to changes in a patient’s condition.
• Ability to operate and document in an Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment with trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer Methadone, Buprenorphine/Naloxone, Buprenorphine and other meds as ordered.
• Maintain strict medication security, inventory, accountability, and records per DEA/state/federal requirements.
• Conduct and document daily dispensing and dosing procedures.
• Monitor patients receiving MAT and respond to changes in condition.
• Perform nursing assessments and provide education on medications, treatment, wellness and recovery.
• Document patient encounters and dispensing activities in the EHR.
• Collaborate with providers, counselors, and treatment team; coordinate dosing with local jail when required.
