Job summary

Janler Corporation in Chicago, IL is seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer / Operator for a full-time 1st shift.

You will create toolpaths using Mastercam from SolidWorks models, set up and run diverse CNC machines, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

Candidates should have 5+ years of CNC programming and setup experience, read blueprints, and be proficient with G-code.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience programming CNC machining centers.
• 5+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC machining centers.
• Proficiency with Mastercam for programming and SolidWorks for reviewing/modifying 3D models.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints
• Ability to use and interpret measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
• Clear understanding of G-code and M-codes.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate 3 axis vertical CNC milling machines, multi-axis CNC lathes, horizontal CNC milling machines, and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Generate clean and organized programs from Parasolid files utilizing MasterCam
• Interpret engineering blueprints and CAD models to understand machining requirements and tolerances
• Program optimization through cutter selection, speeds, feeds, depth of cut, etc. to maximize efficiency, quality, and surface finish
• Work with engineering and mold making departments review work and ensure deadlines and due dates are met or improved
• Flexibility to program for other operators to support workflow and backlog

You will be responsible for creating precise toolpaths using Mastercam from SolidWorks models, setting up equipment, and operating CNC machinery to manufacture components that meet strict tolerances and quality standards.
