Job summary

Highland Refrigeration is seeking a Welder to join our team in Washington. The role focuses on fabrication and welding of pipes and fittings for refrigeration systems made with high-quality components. You will weld in various positions and ensure the integrity of welded surfaces through testing and inspection.

Ideal candidates will hold SMAW-1 or GTAW-4 certification, have the ability to lift heavy items, and maintain a safe, clean work environment. Ammonia refrigeration exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (or equivalent) and related experience/training.
• SMAW-1 or GTAW-4 welding certification is required.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Layout and fabrication/welding of pipe and fittings.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures for flaws.
• Maintain equipment safely and keep a clean, hazard-free job site.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents to Safety Director.
