Job summary

Highland Refrigeration is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Washington. The Welder will handle fabrication and welding of pipes and fittings, using manual or semi-automatic equipment in vertical, horizontal or overhead positions.

Responsibilities include testing welds, maintaining equipment and ensuring safety on site. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and welding certifications (SMAW-1 or GTAW-4); ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus, with 401(k) and health

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• SMAW-1 or GTAW-4 Welding Certification.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Layout and fabrication/welding of pipe and fittings.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures for flaws.
• Maintain equipment to ensure safety.
• Keep job site clean and safe.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents.
• Maintain a neat appearance and positive attitude.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
