Job summary

Wells in the United States is seeking a Metal Shop Certified Welder to fabricate production assemblies for precast manufacturing. You will weld, cut, and assemble components using shop equipment and read production drawings to ensure PCI certification standards are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Welding certification preferred; willingness to test and certify required.
• Ability to read blueprints, steel orders, and basic technical documents.
• General math skills and ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred; training provided.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Adaptability to changing priorities in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations that meet company and PCI certification standards.
• Operate shop equipment including welders, forklifts, shears, punches, drill presses and band saws.
• Fabricate and assemble production components used in precast manufacturing.
• Build and set up jigs for fabrication work as needed.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and production drawings.
• Use gas-acetylene torches for cutting and fabrication tasks.
• Transport and handle materials safely within the shop environment.
• Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently and safely.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures and quality standards.
• Support additional shop and production tasks as assigned.
