Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Journeyman welder to join our on-site team. You will weld and tack weld parts, assemble pipes and metal components per blueprints, and assist in preparing pieces using torches and cutting tools. Requires four years of journeyman experience, a TWIC card, and a valid driver’s license.

The role is full-time, on-site, with 1st shift from 7:00am to 4:00pm. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and working at heights or in restricted spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or vocational training preferred.
• Journeyman-level welding experience required (4 years).
• TWIC Card and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Weld or tack weld pieces using spot, electric, or gas welding equipment.
• Unite pipes and components as per blueprints and work orders.
• Preheat work pieces and prepare for welding; inspect finished work for specs.
