Collins Aerospace is looking for a Master Tech, Quality Compliance at our Chula Vista, CA location who possesses a deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise. You will perform quality inspections of airplane approved DSQR parts and write 8130 airworthiness tags (FAA/EASA). You will enjoy working in a team environment, completing daily tasks at hand, writing, and inspecting. You will also maintain charts for organization, quality clinic activities (IPUs) and other duties as assigned.

This position is 1st shift (9:30am – 6pm or 10: 00 am - 7:00 pm) and these hours may change due to workload. This position will be working onsite in Chula Vista, CA.

What You Will Do

• Interpret instructions delivered verbally, in writing, or through visual illustrations to ensure accurate task execution
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Conduct in-process quality inspections.
• Schedule and prioritize workload in areas of responsibility with support from supervision.
• Adhere to supervisor's instructions and guidance.
• Utilize SAP software for tracking, reporting, and managing production-related data.
• Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Recertify airworthiness tags every 36 months in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
• Be available to work overtime, including occasional weekends and holidays, to meet production demands.
• Upon completion of training, you must pass a written exam before working independently.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
• 2 years or more of Quality Assurance experience.
• 1 year of Aerostructures or Aerospace business experience
• Experience reading engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system

Qualifications We Prefer

• Certification in AS9100

• FAA tag certification

The salary range for this role is 68,000 USD - 140,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
