This role offers an exciting opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in Oil & Gas to join our dynamic Tech Services team. The successful candidate will provide legal advice and support on a wide range of oil and gas matters, including joint operating agreements, farmouts, federal leasing, and state leasing. This position requires at least 3 years of relevant experience and a deep understanding of the legal complexities in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various oil and gas agreements, including joint operating agreements, farmouts, federal and state leases.
• Provide legal advice on oil and gas matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify legal issues and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on oil and gas law developments.
• Represent the company in legal disputes related to oil and gas.
• Work with management to develop legal strategies aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, focusing on joint operating agreements, farmouts, and leasing.
• Admission to a state bar.
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas laws and regulations.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High professional ethics and integrity.
