Job summary

NOV is seeking a Production Planner to support operational performance and customer satisfaction by proactively managing production schedules, identifying constraints, and coordinating across functions to improve on-time delivery and lead times.

The role involves coordinating work orders, monitoring capacity, and ensuring alignment with safety stock levels while complying with NOV policies. This position is on-site in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of inventory management principles and supply-chain processes.
• Familiarity with HSE policies and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, manufacturing capacity, and material availability.
• Develop priorities and communicate support functions while taking an active role in problem resolution.
• Coordinate and monitor the flow of work through assembly and machining operations to ensure production schedules are achieved.
• Review, release, and manage work orders per system demand, ensuring dates meet organizational metrics.
• Periodically review non‑conformances and engineering changes, reworking work orders as required.
• Approve, release, and monitor the status of production and purchase requisitions.
• Monitor manufacturing capacity and recommend actions to address potential bottlenecks or resource constraints.
• Collaborate with the Order Fulfillment team to communicate sales‑order reschedules and level‑loading activities.
• Monitor and regularly update safety stock levels in the system as needed.
• Perform other work‑related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
