Job summary

Omni Control Technology is seeking a Production Scheduler to develop and maintain production schedules that support customer delivery requirements while maximizing manufacturing efficiency. The role serves as a key link between Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Shipping to align materials, labor and capacity with customer expectations in a fast-paced, contract manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Associate degree in supply chain, operations, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years of production scheduling, planning, manufacturing, or supply chain experience.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and communicate production schedules based on demand, materials, labor, and priorities.
Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure materials are available to support schedules.
Monitor work orders and adjust schedules to address changing requirements or constraints.
Balance workloads with Production Supervisors to optimize resources.
Prioritize customer orders to meet on-time delivery objectives.
Analyze capacity and identify potential bottlenecks.
Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
Monitor KPIs including schedule attainment and on-time delivery.
Collaborate with Engineering on ECOs and their impact on schedules.
Participate in production meetings with schedule updates and recommendations.
Maintain accurate ERP/MRP data and support inventory initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes and production flow.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
