Novanta Inc. in North Syracuse, NY, is seeking a Production Planner (Contract through March 2027) to develop and maintain production schedules that align with demand, inventory targets, and capacity.

You will coordinate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Materials, and Customer Service to ensure on-time delivery and maintain ERP/MRP data accuracy. The role requires 2+ years in production planning, solid analytical skills, and proficiency with Excel.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.

Responsabilités

• Create and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory targets, and available capacity.
• Release, monitor, and update manufacturing work orders in the ERP/MRP system.
• Identify schedule risks, capacity constraints, and material shortages that may impact production.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing leaders to establish and communicate production priorities.
• Work closely with Purchasing and Materials personnel to ensure material availability.
• Track schedule adherence and support actions to recover missed production plans.
