Job summary

Encore Medical LP seeks a skilled Planner / Scheduler for the Houston Plant. You will own daily and weekly finite-capacity production schedules, balancing demand, inventory, tooling, and capacity to ensure on-time delivery.

You will coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Procurement to optimize the production flow and readiness for launches. The role focuses on master scheduling, external processing, and CAPEX-related planning, with visibility into capacity utilization and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4-5 years of progressively responsible experience in production planning, master scheduling, supply planning, manufacturing operations, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience scheduling production in a finite-capacity manufacturing environment, with hands-on work-order management and outside-processing coordination.
• Working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems for production planning, inventory management, and work-order execution; experience with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or a comparable ERP system (NetSuite preferred).
• Working knowledge of Power BI or a comparable BI platform, with the ability to develop and interpret operational dashboards and reports.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize competing requirements, identify risks, and coordinate resolution across departments.

Responsibilities

• Master Production Scheduling & Execution: Build, maintain, and continuously adjust daily and weekly finite-capacity production schedules, ensuring accuracy against capacity, material, WIP, and constraints.
• Outside Processing & Downstream Flow: Create and manage outside processing POs, coordinate timing and status, and recover from delays to protect downstream operations.
• NPI, Product Launch & CAPEX Scheduling: Own the supply planning and production scheduling for launches and CAPEX, back-schedule requirements, and maintain an integrated roadmap.
• Capacity Planning & Operational Analytics: Monitor loading, utilization, bottlenecks, and capacity; present KPI performance and risks to leadership.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve scheduling accuracy, production flow, changeovers, capacity, and on-time delivery.
