The role develops and maintains the master production schedule, balances capacity across departments, coordinates outsourced operations, and drives on-time delivery performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, manufacturing operations, or a related role.
• Experience with ERP systems for work orders, scheduling, reporting, and production control.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with multiple production steps and changing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and production reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor the master production schedule.
• Coordinate workflow from Engineering release through production and outside services.
• Review job status, material availability, labor capacity, and department constraints.
• Identify bottlenecks and adjust schedules to support customer delivery commitments.
• Balance work center loading to improve production flow and efficiency.
• Use ERP systems to review and update work orders, routings, due dates, work center queues, and production information.
• Generate and review reports related to backlog, job status, capacity, and delivery risks.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Shipping to maintain schedule alignment.
• Monitor outside service vendors and coordinate timing of outsourced processes.
• Communicate daily and weekly production priorities and schedule changes.
• Identify jobs at risk of delay and develop recovery plans.
• Support customer delivery and production performance metrics.
• Recommend improvements to scheduling processes, production flow, and ERP data accuracy.
• Support continuous improvement and lead-time reduction initiatives.
