The role involves rough-cut capacity planning, creating and maintaining master schedules, educating across the company about scheduling practices, and resolving conflicts in material and capacity availability while optimizing inventory and resource use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• APICS CPIM certification; alternatively, achieving certification within one year of assuming the position will be required.
• 5 years experience in roles of progressively increasing responsibilities in Production Planning in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in Master Scheduling/Capacity Planning.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Analyze demand and supply at item, customer, and master schedule levels; identify alternatives and advise on actions for approval.
• Conduct rough-cut capacity planning prior to publishing a master schedule; summarize schedules and compare to operating plan.
• Act as internal educator and consultant on master scheduling; provide education and training.
• Identify, negotiate, and resolve conflicts with respect to material and capacity availability; inform management when demand cannot be met and propose alternatives.
• Create a master schedule that satisfies customer demand while leveling work and optimizing inventory and resource utilization.
• Maintain master schedule with policy of no release dates before current date; maintain scheduling parameters with engineering.
• Participate in S&OP; run rough cut capacity planning monthly and update capacity data for critical resources.
• Review each master scheduled item weekly.
