Position Overview:Develops, prepares, issues, and maintains production schedules to guide production activities and resource allocation so maximum efficiency, output, and on-time delivery objectives are achieved. Coordinates material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production needs. Gathers data from internal teams and incorporates materials, inventories, resource availability, customer orders, and delivery commitments into schedules. Monitors daily production results and revises schedules in response to changes in materials, designs, equipment, priorities, or other resources. Utilizes ERP/MRP, planning and scheduling software, and other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate production records, reports, and forecasts.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensure Master Planning Schedule (dates, progress, and notes) support the current production delivery schedule
  • Ensure shop floor WOs are up to date and in line with Master Planning Schedule
  • Coordinate with inventory to direct the timely release of work orders (WO) and the delivery of kits to the shop floor to align with WO start times
  • Communicate priorities for processing workflow through receiving, inspection, stores, or other departments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicates change in the production schedule to align the Value Stream revenue recognition
  • Maintain assigned sales orders, creation of work orders to meet OTD.
  • Maintains files of documents used and prepared as needed for product certification
  • Compiles, from customer orders and other specifications, detailed production sheet or work orders for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of product
  • Examine drawings and documents to verify completeness and accuracy of data
  • Manage work orders affected by ECO, including coordination of BOM changes and revision control of work order drawings
  • Assist in analyzing impact of non-conforming materials (MRB) to determine the appropriate action plan and ensure that internal departments follow up as required
  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of drawing structures and how BOM’s are configured within the ERP system
  • Record data of forecast versus actual results
  • Creates production build records (work order routers) in accordance with manufacturing engineering best practices.
  • Maintain current build records with accurate labor hours based on historical and actual production times
  • Works closely with functional groups in problem solving and implementation of resolutions

  • Assist in the maintenance of Manufacturing Lead Times (MLT) and production Standard Hours.
  • Assist in make/buy decisions on manufactured parts
  • Maintain and report on applicable policies, procedures, and records in accordance with AS9100 certification requirements
