The role requires building the master schedule across projects, modeling capacity, and re-calibrating plans as timelines and constraints shift, becoming the internal authority on what can be produced and when.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production planning or scheduling experience.
• Background in make-to-order or engineer-to-order environments.
• Hands-on finite-capacity or multi-resource planning experience.
• Strong ERP/MRP, Excel, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable making decisions in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain master production schedule across project portfolio.
• Model capacity across internal centers and outside manufacturers.
• Identify constraints, critical paths, and schedule conflicts months ahead.
• Re-sequence work and develop executable alternatives as requirements change.
• Translate delivery commitments into production and material plans.
• Maintain scheduling data, routings, lead times, and ERP inputs.
• Collaborate with PM, purchasing, and operations to set achievable commitments.

A growing specialty manufacturer in Bloomington is seeking a Master Scheduler to take ownership of long-range production and capacity planning across a highly customized, engineer-to-order environment.

This is not a role centered on maintaining a static schedule. Projects can remain active for 6-24 months, customer timelines can shift, outside-vendor capacity varies, and production priorities routinely need to be re-calibrated. The Master Scheduler will become the internal authority on what the organization can realistically produce and when.

This is an opportunity to build a planning function rather than simply maintain one, with visibility into broader operations leadership as the business grows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the master production schedule across the full project portfolio
• Model capacity across internal work centers and outside manufacturing partners
• Identify constraints, critical paths, and schedule conflicts months before they affect delivery
• Re-sequence work and develop realistic alternatives as project requirements change
• Translate committed delivery dates into executable production and material plans
• Maintain scheduling data, routings, lead times, capacity assumptions, and related ERP inputs
• Partner with project management, purchasing, and operations to establish achievable commitments
