Job summary

Hirewell is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to own the master production schedule in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will translate demand into weekly and daily schedules, balancing labor, capacity, materials, and delivery commitments.

Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations; monitor schedule performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement using ERP/MRP and Excel.

Qualifications

• Experience in master scheduling, production scheduling, or manufacturing planning.
• Strong understanding of MPS, MRP, capacity planning, production planning, and material requirements.
• Experience scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and make schedule adjustments in a fast-paced operation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify capacity constraints and production risks.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and Excel.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with production and supply chain teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on demand, capacity, materials, and customer requirements.
• Translate forecasts, orders, and production requirements into weekly and daily manufacturing schedules.
• Balance production demand against labor, machine capacity, material availability, and lead times.
• Identify scheduling conflicts, capacity constraints, material shortages, and production bottlenecks before they impact customer delivery.
• Adjust schedules based on production performance, changing priorities, material availability, and customer needs.
• Partner closely with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Materials, and Operations to keep schedules achievable and aligned.
• Support decisions around overtime, shift coverage, production sequencing, and capacity needs.
• Track schedule attainment and proactively address issues affecting on-time delivery.
• Maintain accurate planning and scheduling data within the company's ERP/MRP system.
• Drive continuous improvement in scheduling accuracy, production flow, and overall schedule performance.
