Job summary

Samaritas is seeking a Master’s Clinician for the Eaton County Jail program and Charlotte outpatient clinic. The role focuses on substance use disorder treatment, individual and group therapy, and transition support for clients moving from incarceration to community care.

Licensed or eligible clinicians with SUD experience will provide person-centered care, collaborate with correctional staff and community partners, and maintain thorough clinical documentation in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field.
• Fully licensed clinicians preferred; limited license candidates will be considered.
• Minimum one year of SUD counseling experience; two years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver jail-based behavioral health and substance use treatment services in Eaton County Jail and Charlotte outpatient clinic.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual counseling and facilitate therapeutic groups for justice-involved individuals.
• Support crisis intervention and stabilization within the correctional setting.
• Maintain a smaller outpatient clinic caseload to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist clients with recovery during incarceration and reintegration into the community.
• Perform clinical documentation including service plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Engage in outreach and partnerships to build referrals and ensure high-quality care.
