Job summary

Samaritas is seeking a Master’s-level Substance Use Disorder Clinician to deliver jail-based behavioral health and addiction services in Eaton County Jail and at the Charlotte clinic. The position requires a Master’s degree in social work or counseling, with licensed or limited-licensed candidates considered.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field.
• Fully licensed clinicians preferred; limited license candidates will be considered.
• Minimum one year of SUD counseling experience preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience with substance use populations preferred.
• Experience in team-based or interdisciplinary environment preferred.
• Familiarity with SUD documentation standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver jail-based behavioral health and substance use treatment with correctional staff.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Provide individual counseling and facilitate therapy groups.
• Support crisis intervention and stabilization in the jail setting.
• Maintain outpatient clinic caseload to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist clients with transition and reintegration into community.
• Maintain clinical documentation including plans, progress notes, discharge summaries.
• Engage in community outreach and referral partnerships.
• Participate in supervision and trainings; ensure quality standards compliance.
