Job summary

Samaritas is seeking a Master’s-level Substance Use Disorder Clinician to deliver person-centered care in our West Michigan behavioral health clinic. The role combines therapy, care coordination, and community engagement to support recovery and long-term wellbeing.

Fully licensed clinicians are preferred; limited license candidates will be considered. In-office, Monday–Friday schedule with competitive starting wage and growth opportunities within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Fully licensed clinicians preferred; limited license candidates will be considered.
• Minimum one year of SUD counseling experience preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience working with substance use populations preferred.
• Familiarity with SUD documentation standards preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized, person-centered treatment plans with family involvement when appropriate.
• Provide individual and family therapy as well as case management support.
• Coordinate care with families and external stakeholders such as schools, probation, medical providers, and community partners.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, including service plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Monitor treatment quality and assess effectiveness in achieving client goals.
• Conduct community outreach, networking, and marketing to build referral sources and partnerships.
• Represent Samaritas’ mission and values with professionalism and integrity.
• Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and organizational trainings.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements.
