Job description

Are you a planning professional looking for an exciting opportunity to grow and develop professionally? Emerson Discrete Automation has the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking to hire a Master Scheduler based in our Aiken, South Carolina location. Join our Operations team to work collaboratively with other planners and schedulers to create, modify, and implement the master production schedule, ensuring alignment with customer demand and forecasts.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
  1. Review and respond to master schedule messages, resolving any exceptions.
  2. Communicate forecast inaccuracies to Product Demand to prevent customer service issues.
  3. Complete rough cut capacity reports, monitor, and adjust workflows at production centers.
  4. Coordinate with planner/schedulers on reschedules or customer order expedites.
  5. Measure service levels for finished goods and customer orders based on the master schedule.
  6. Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes and inform supervisors.
  7. Collaborate with Production Inventory Control regarding new production introductions.
  8. Prioritize safety; halt work if unsafe conditions are present or imminent.
  9. Complete assigned work from start to finish with minimal supervision.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of related planning experience.
  • Experience with computerized master scheduling systems and effective communication skills across departments.
  • Proficiency in PC skills, interpreting computer reports, and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with others.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • APICS Certification or affiliation is a plus.
  • Excellent team player with integrity, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
