Meyer Utility Structures in Lancaster, SC, seeks a Planner/Scheduler to optimize shop floor production by creating detailed schedules, managing material requirements, and coordinating resources to meet deadlines.

You will analyze drawings, estimate labor hours, and monitor workflows for welding and machining, ensuring seamless communication between sales, engineering, and production teams to maximize efficiency.

Formación

• HS diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of scheduling, planning, or a similar role within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
• Proven experience in metal fabrication, welding, and machining processes.
• Strong skills in ERP/MRP systems, CMMS, and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Excel).
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders of varying levels.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsabilidades

• Develop daily, weekly, and long-term production schedules (master schedule).
• Analyze technical data and drawings to determine efficient operation sequences.
• Estimate and manage labor hours, tools, and material requirements.
• Collaborate with purchasing to ensure timely raw material arrival and inventory levels.
• Monitor performance data, prepare reports, and identify bottlenecks.
• Adjust schedules to handle delays, shortages, or rush orders.
