Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures, a subsidiary of Arcosa, Inc., is hiring an Assistant Plant Manager for its Lancaster, SC plant. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will oversee production scheduling, outsourcing, capacity utilization, and welding and fabrication processes to ensure on-time delivery.

You will lead production scheduling, shipping and receiving, and coordinate with Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, Finance and HR to optimize operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Ability to relocate
• Experience in LEAN manufacturing environments
• Experience in steel manufacturing preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel

Responsibilities

• Lead department managers in Scheduling, Shipping, Fabrication and Welding operations
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity
• Make decisions guided by policies, procedures, and strategic plans
• Develop and sustain a safe workplace culture and ensure safety of all team members
• Ensure Meyer Quality standards and implement COPQ reduction initiatives
• Manage the production schedule to meet master production dates and allocate resources
• Oversee receiving and shipping to ensure materials and finished goods flow smoothly
• Coordinate daily production activities across shifts and lead special projects
