Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures, a Clinton, IL plant subsidiary of Arcosa Inc., seeks a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations for heavy industrial products. You will oversee safety, quality, and productivity across multiple activities while ensuring schedules and budgets are met.

The ideal candidate has a engineering degree and 5+ years of leadership in metal fabrication or welding environments, including blueprints familiarity and shift readiness for 6:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
• 5+ years leadership in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a metal fabrication or welding facility; flux and metal core welding preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of blueprints and layouts related to transmission poles.
• High degree of dependability, maturity, and strong leadership characteristics.
• Regular attendance and a great attitude with teamwork.
• Availability to work 1st Shift - 6:00am-4:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations of assigned work group.
• Set production schedules based on production introduction, equipment efficiency, and quality metrics.
• Coach employees on fit-up and welding processes, ensuring goals are met and issues are resolved.
• Ensure production of quality products at or below budgeted production cost.
• Assist in continuous improvement activities to improve movement of materials through production processes.
• Manage hourly employees, monitor and approve time sheets and work logs.
• Assign employees to workstations and ensure proper training.
• Manage fit up and welding processes for assigned work groups and production bays, ensuring adherence to policies.
