Automatic Data Processing, Inc. in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Planning Manager to create and execute the master production schedule for a heavy casting operation.

You will balance plant capacity, raw materials, and demand to optimize throughput and finished goods inventory, bridging operations, procurement, and management with data-driven reporting. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 3–5 years in production scheduling, hands-on ERP/MRP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite),

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years in production scheduling or materials management in heavy manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, MS 365, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Master Production Schedule for casting lines, developing, maintaining, and executing the MPS for all lines.
• Sequence casting runs to optimize machine utilization, minimize setup/changeover times, and maximize yield.
• Identify production constraints; load level the production plan, and identify corrective actions such as overtime, adding equipment, outsourcing, or expediting.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to build planned equipment downtime into the production schedule.
• Direct the procurement team on quantities, volumes, and delivery timelines for raw materials.
• Forecast high-wear consumables, establish safety stock levels, and manage inventory to avoid stockouts.
• Review monthly Sales Forecasts to align production with demand and achieve service levels.
• Monitor Finished Goods levels and reduce excess inventory; prepare weekly leadership summaries.
