Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking a Production Planner and Control to support scheduling and materials analysis within the Production Operations team in Wisconsin. The role will own the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on capacity, materials readiness, and labor availability, and ensure on-time delivery to customers.

You will partner with Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance to optimize planning, report KPIs, and drive continuous improvements in manufacturing scheduling and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience.
• Solid understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationships.
• Strong background in project material management.
• Extensive experience in production planning.
• Skilled in the use of Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, Power Point, Word, as well as Sharepoint
• Excellent understanding of MRP systems

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end production plan, align with MRP, capacity, and delivery commitments.
• Lead production review meetings; drive discussions on build plan status, constraints, and recovery.
• Plan and release work orders from sales orders/forecasts; monitor WIP throughout the factory.
• Leverage shipping dashboards to review performance and escalate issues.
• Prepare scheduling reports, KPIs, and status updates for operations leadership.
• Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, Sales, Warehouse, Engineering, and Finance to maintain the Internal Operating Plan (IOP).
• Create dashboard reports to show actual shipments against forecast.
• Collaborate to establish a stable schedule accounting for yield, Kanban, and non-conformances.
• Reschedule daily deliveries as needed to meet internal and contractual obligations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency and accuracy
